Massive 'Peglin' Update Lands on Mobile, PC, Switch

Feb 20,2025 Author: Zachary

TouchArcade Rating: Red Nexus Games' Peglin (Free), the captivating pachinko roguelike, has officially reached version 1.0 across multiple platforms! Announced and released on Switch during a recent Nintendo Indie World showcase, it simultaneously achieved 1.0 status on Steam. Now, following its Switch and Steam releases, Peglin has also launched its 1.0 update on iOS and Android.

This significant update introduces exciting new content, including the final four Cruciball levels (17-20), a challenging new forest miniboss, a rare roundrel relic, and extensive balance adjustments. Gameplay mechanics, specifically dull peg functionality, have also been refined. Further improvements include changes to the bestiary research rate. For a complete list of changes, check out the full patch notes on the game's Steam news page.

If you haven't experienced Peglin yet, watch the gameplay trailer below:

Despite reaching version 1.0, Peglin is slated for further updates. For those eager to dive in, you can find my iOS review from its initial launch last year here, and an interview with Red Nexus Games discussing the game's development, pricing, and more here. The mobile version of Peglin offers a free trial; download it on the App Store for iOS here and Google Play for Android here. Previously featured as our Game of the Week, Peglin is also available on Steam here and Switch here. Join the discussion on our forum thread for more player impressions of the iOS version.

Have you played Peglin on mobile or PC? What are your thoughts on this substantial update?
