Captain America: Brave New World, clocking in at a concise 1 hour and 58 minutes, claims the title of shortest Captain America film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), and ranks among the shortest MCU films overall.
AMC Theatres confirmed this runtime, placing it among the select few MCU films under two hours, and seventh shortest of the 35 films released. This is a notable departure from the previous three Captain America films, all exceeding two hours.
While most shorter MCU films hail from Phases 1 and 2, several exceptions emerged recently. The shortest MCU film is 2022's The Marvels at 1 hour and 45 minutes, followed by The Incredible Hulk, Thor: The Dark World, Thor, Doctor Strange, and Ant-Man.

Brave New World shares its runtime with Ant-Man and The Wasp. In contrast, the longest MCU film, Avengers: Endgame, runs for 3 hours and 1 minute, followed by Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Eternals, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
Despite its imminent February 14th release, Brave New World reportedly underwent extensive rewrites and reshoots, including scenes featuring WWE star Seth Rollins. The impact of these revisions on the final runtime remains unclear.
Starring Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson, this film marks the first Captain America movie since Chris Evans' Steve Rogers' retirement. Mackie promises a continuation of the grounded, espionage-thriller legacy of the series.
The film is also poised to introduce deep-cut Marvel characters, including a payoff to a tease in The Incredible Hulk with the introduction of The Leader, and features Red Hulk.
