Metal Slug: Awakening Opens Pre-Registration On Android!

Get ready for a blast from the past! HaoPlay Limited's upcoming title, Metal Slug: Awakening, is bringing back the classic arcade action. Launching globally on July 18th, 2024, pre-registration is now open.

What's the Buzz?

Metal Slug: Awakening is a modern update to the iconic 90s series. Initially revealed in 2020 by TiMi Studios as Metal Slug Code: J, the game has seen some delays and name changes. Following its Southeast Asian release in late 2023, it's finally ready for a worldwide launch.

For the uninitiated, Metal Slug is a renowned Japanese run-and-gun series that debuted in 1996, created by Nazca Corporation and later expanding into a multimedia franchise. While previous mobile entries like Metal Slug Defense (2014), Metal Slug Attack (2016), and Metal Slug Commander (2020) exist, Awakening promises enhanced features and gameplay.

This new installment stays true to the original's core shooter mechanics, but boasts upgraded visuals and innovative gameplay elements. Expect to revisit familiar characters and embark on fresh missions. Game modes include a World Adventure, 3-player cooperative Team-up mode, and challenging Roguelike experiences.
