Mortal Kombat 1 has unveiled two consecutive character reveals. Yesterday's esports trailer teased T-1000, but the Terminator isn't the immediate addition to the roster. Instead, Conan the Barbarian is the focus, launching next week for premium edition owners. Today's gameplay trailer showcases the Cimmerian warrior.
Conan's gameplay emphasizes his brutish strength. Expect powerful, high-damage attacks, though agility and speed may be less pronounced. His sword's reach could compensate for this. Matchups against characters like General Shao, Omni-Man, and Homelander will be intriguing to observe.
While visually reminiscent of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Conan's fatality lacks the spectacular flair of some other MK1 finishers. His acid-drowning execution is relatively straightforward. However, enjoyable gameplay is paramount, and Conan promises just that.
Premium edition owners gain early access on Tuesday, January 22nd. All other players must wait until January 28th.
