After months of rumors and speculation, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered has been officially confirmed. On April 21, Bethesda announced via Twitter (X) that they will hold a special livestream event to unveil the remastered edition.

Developed by Bethesda Game Studios and co-published by Bethesda Softworks and 2K Games, Oblivion was initially planned as an Xbox 360 launch title for late 2005. Development delays pushed the release to March 2006 for both Xbox 360 and PC platforms.
A mobile version developed by Superscape and published by Vir2L Studios launched in May 2006. The PlayStation 3 edition arrived in North America in March 2007, followed by a European release in April 2007. Though a PSP version was considered, it was eventually canceled.
