In Avowed, Paradisan Ladder is a crucial, rare upgrade material. This guide details five methods to acquire it efficiently.
Methods to Obtain Paradisan Ladder:
1. Purchase from Merilyn: Merilyn, a merchant located in South Paradise (see map below), sells Paradisan Ladder for 150 coins each (up to five units). She also sells items (Many-Hued Doublet and Common Grimoire of Elements) that can be broken down for additional Paradisan Ladder (two units each). Her inventory doesn't replenish.
2. Foraging: Explore the game world. Paradisan Ladder plants are marked on your mini-map with a plant icon (see image below). Be aware of similar-looking plants.
3. Side Quests: Many side quests reward crafting materials, including Paradisan Ladder. The "Escape Plan" quest, for example, provides two units.
4. Item Deconstruction: Disassemble upgraded items at a workbench to reclaim Paradisan Ladder used in their creation. Check merchant inventories for items containing Paradisan Ladder, indicated in their "Break Down" descriptions.
5. Downgrading Hylea's Talon: Once you reach Emerald Stair and acquire Hylea's Talon (a higher-tier material), you can downgrade each Talon into three units of Paradisan Ladder at a workbench. Select the "Downgrade" option under the "Crafting" tab.
