- Fidough Fetch will take place between January 3rd and 7th
- The Puppy Pokemon will make its debut in Pokemon Go
- Several global challenges will offer numerous rewards
Just like Ash had friends throughout his journey, you need your fellow trainers too for this upcoming Pokemon Go event. Between January 3rd and 7th, you can take part in the Fidough Fetch event, which introduces the Puppy Pokémon and its evolution, Dachsbun, to the AR game. You’ll also be working on Global Challenges with others, granting everyone numerous exciting rewards.
Throughout this event in Pokemon Go, you’ll encounter Fidough in the wild and can evolve it into Dachsbun using 50 Fidough Candy. But that’s not all. Global Challenges are the centre of this event, tasking you to make Nice Curveball Throws to unlock progressive rewards.
These bonuses get better as each challenge is completed, starting with double XP for catching Pokémon and scaling up to four times the XP and Stardust later on. Besides that, if you want to get yourself some freebies, be sure to redeem this month’s Pokémon Go codes!
You’ll also notice some fan-favourite Pokémon appearing more frequently during the event. Growlithe, Voltorb, Snubbull, Electrike, Lillipup, and Poochyena will all show up more often, with a chance to encounter their shiny variants. Hisuian Growlithe and Greavard might even make an appearance if you’re lucky.
Event-themed Field Research tasks are another way to obtain rewards. Completing these tasks will grant you items like Stardust and Poké Balls, as well as encounters with event-themed Pokémon. Keep an eye out for PokéStop Showcases, where you can enter some of the Pokémon you catch during the event. Don’t forget to check out the Pokémon Go Web Store for deals while you’re at it.
