Samsung Unveils Ultra-Slim Galaxy S25 Edge Smartphone
Samsung has revealed its latest flagship device, the ultra-slim Galaxy S25 Edge. While similar to the standard Galaxy S25 released earlier this year, this new model stands out with its remarkably thin 5.8mm profile and lightweight 163g construction. The device launches May 30 with a $1099.99 price tag. Early adopters can preorder now through Amazon (which includes a $50 gift card bonus) and receive complimentary storage upgrade doubling the capacity.
The Galaxy S25 Edge shares most specifications with the S25 Plus, featuring the custom Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and a 6.7-inch OLED display powered by Galaxy AI. The camera system differs slightly, offering a 12MP front camera, 12MP ultra-wide AF lens, and 200MP main sensor with 2x optical-quality zoom - though notably missing the telephoto lens. Due to its slim design, battery life sees slight compromise with up to 24 hours of video playback.
Samsung offers three premium titanium finish options: black, icyblue, and silver - all complementing the phone's sleek aesthetics. The subtle front camera appears as a tiny display cutout.
The integrated Galaxy AI provides intelligent features like note summarization and photo enhancement. This model represents Samsung's thinnest S-series smartphone to date, combining powerful performance with exceptional portability.
Previous ultra-thin models faced durability concerns, but Samsung addresses this with titanium construction and Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 protection. Whether the Galaxy S25 Edge claims the smartphone crown remains to be seen.
