Marvel Rivals enthusiasts have taken to social media to express their delight with the Midnight Features event quests launched in Season 1: Eternal Night Falls. NetEase Games has much to celebrate, as Marvel Rivals recently earned a nomination for a DICE award and was crowned the top new game in PlayStation's Players' Choice for December 2024. The launch of the new season also saw the game breaking its concurrent player record on Steam.

Currently in the early stages of Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, NetEase Games is already setting expectations for the future. In a recent interview, the developers announced plans to introduce a new playable hero every month and a half. While Season 1 will feature the entire Fantastic Four within three months, subsequent seasons will have less content. Nevertheless, fans are excited about the steady introduction of new characters.

On Reddit, user Useful_You_8045 praised the Midnight Features event quests of Season 1, particularly appreciating their availability across multiple game modes such as Quick Play, Competitive, and AI matches. The option to complete quests against AI has been a welcome feature for players wanting to experiment with new heroes or focus on challenges in a less competitive environment. Additionally, some players have noted improved rewards in Season 1, including a Gallery Card that offered a first glimpse at Blade in Marvel Rivals.

Marvel Rivals’ Midnight Features Event Quests Are a Hit With Fans

NetEase Games has also enhanced the visual presentation of event quests, making them more engaging. When players access the Events tab, they're greeted with a Midnight Features newspaper, where each headline and animated image introduces new quests. Although not all quests are currently available, they are expected to fully unlock on January 17. Completing all event quests rewards players with a free Thor skin in Marvel Rivals.

Players have been pleased with the enhancements NetEase Games introduced in Season 1, such as offering two free skins in the battle pass instead of one. The season also includes new maps, a new game mode, and balance adjustments to maintain fairness among the game's extensive character roster. With NetEase Games' attention to detail and responsiveness to community feedback, players are optimistic about the future of this popular hero shooter.
