Tekken制作人原田胜弘的肯德基上校桑德斯联动梦碎！

肯德基创始人兼品牌吉祥物上校桑德斯，长期以来都是原田胜弘希望在其格斗游戏系列中出现的角色。然而，原田胜弘最近接受采访时表示，肯德基公司以及他自己的老板都否决了他的请求。“很久以前，我就想让肯德基的上校桑德斯参战，”原田胜弘告诉The Gamer。“所以我请求使用上校桑德斯的形象，并联系了日本总部。”
这并非原田胜弘第一次谈到希望上校出现在铁拳系列中。他之前在其YouTube频道的一个旧视频中表示，他非常希望将肯德基的标志性人物作为客串角色加入到铁拳游戏中。原田胜弘还补充说，当他的铁拳x上校桑德斯的梦想被拒绝时，他受到了“冷遇”。因此，粉丝们在可预见的未来不应期待在铁拳8中出现任何肯德基的联动内容。
游戏设计师迈克尔·穆雷在接受The Gamer采访时，进一步详细介绍了原田胜弘与肯德基的交流。显然，原田胜弘曾亲自联系肯德基，试图获得上校桑德斯的授权，但“他们对这个想法并不太开放，”穆雷说。“[上校桑德斯]之后出现在了一些游戏中。所以也许只是他与某人对抗[这]对他们来说是个问题。但这足以说明这类讨论有多么困难。”
在之前的采访中，原田胜弘曾表示，如果他能完全自由地创作，他“梦想着”在铁拳中加入上校桑德斯。“说实话，我梦想着肯德基的上校桑德斯出现在铁拳中。我和池田导演一起为这个角色设计了一个方案，”原田胜弘说。“我们知道如何把它做好。这将会非常精彩。”然而，肯德基的市场部似乎并没有像铁拳总监那样对这种联动抱有那么大的热情。“然而，市场部并不想同意，因为他们认为玩家不会喜欢它。”原田胜弘补充道，“每个人都处处劝我们不要这样做。所以，如果肯德基的任何人在阅读这篇采访时，请与我联系！”
