The legendary Tony Hawk's Pro Skater series is turning 25, and Tony Hawk himself has confirmed that Activision is planning something special to mark the occasion. "I've been talking to Activision again, which is insanely exciting. We're working on something—This is the first time I've said that publicly," he revealed. The original Tony Hawk's Pro Skater launched on September 29th, 1999, and launched a hugely successful franchise. While a remastered collection of THPS 1+2 was released in 2020, plans for remastering THPS 3 and 4 were unfortunately canceled following the closure of Vicarious Visions. Tony Hawk previously expressed disappointment over the cancellation, citing the studio's dissolution and Activision's restructuring.
