Kazuma Kaneko, the artistic genius behind Shin Megami Tensei's signature aesthetic, brings his distinctive style to mobile gaming with Tsukuyomi: The Divine Hunter. This freshly launched roguelike deckbuilder blends atmospheric dungeon crawling with one of the most innovative AI implementations we've seen in card battlers.
Rather than static encounter tables, Tsukuyomi features a reactive AI system called Okami that analyzes and responds to your strategy in real-time. The development team trained a proprietary AI model called AI Kaneko (personally overseen by the legendary designer) to dynamically generate new cards that counter - or reward - your particular playstyle.
The game transports players to The Hashira - a once-glamorous Tokyo waterfront skyscraper now overrun with supernatural threats. As part of elite unit Tsukuyomi, you'll battle through procedurally-generated floors to eliminate Noriko Tomi, a rogue executive weaponizing ancient jujutsu magic against the government.
Players can currently deploy two distinctive hunters with more coming in future updates:
The free-to-play title is now available worldwide on Android devices via the Google Play Store. For fans of strategic card games looking for innovative mechanics wrapped in Kaneko's unmistakable visual style, this is one to watch.
