The Vision of a Legendary Designer Comes to Mobile
Kazuma Kaneko, the artistic genius behind Shin Megami Tensei's signature aesthetic, brings his distinctive style to mobile gaming with Tsukuyomi: The Divine Hunter. This freshly launched roguelike deckbuilder blends atmospheric dungeon crawling with one of the most innovative AI implementations we've seen in card battlers.
Watchful AI Deities Reshape Gameplay
Rather than static encounter tables, Tsukuyomi features a reactive AI system called Okami that analyzes and responds to your strategy in real-time. The development team trained a proprietary AI model called AI Kaneko (personally overseen by the legendary designer) to dynamically generate new cards that counter - or reward - your particular playstyle.
Tokyo's Cursed Tower Beckons
The game transports players to The Hashira - a once-glamorous Tokyo waterfront skyscraper now overrun with supernatural threats. As part of elite unit Tsukuyomi, you'll battle through procedurally-generated floors to eliminate Noriko Tomi, a rogue executive weaponizing ancient jujutsu magic against the government.
Dueling Playstyles Await
Players can currently deploy two distinctive hunters with more coming in future updates:
- Izayoi Tsukuyomi: Focuses on raw power through straightforward attack/defense boosts. Collect mythical Jinma cards including Seiryuu the Azure Dragon and Celtic warrior Finn MacCool.
- Shingetsu Tsukuyomi: Unlocks complex attack chains that reward careful setup. Wields Jinma spirits like the legendary thief Nezumi Kozou and sword saint Suzuka Gozen.
The free-to-play title is now available worldwide on Android devices via the Google Play Store. For fans of strategic card games looking for innovative mechanics wrapped in Kaneko's unmistakable visual style, this is one to watch.
