The Might and Mastery season in Pokémon GO is drawing to a close. The final week, named Final Strike: GO Battle Week, begins on May 21st, 2025. Running through May 27th, this event marks the culmination of your Kubfu's journey.
After weeks of dedicated training, it's finally time to evolve your resolute little bear into the legendary Urshifu. You'll even have a choice between two distinct forms! Your battle performance determines whether you unlock the Single Strike or Rapid Strike style.
To obtain the Single Strike Style, ensure Kubfu is your buddy and defeat 30 Dark-type Pokémon in raids or Max Battles. For the Rapid Strike Style during Final Strike: GO Battle Week, follow the same process but defeat 30 Water-type Pokémon.
A Special Research story continues the ongoing seasonal narrative. Available until June 3rd, 2025, this research rewards you with Kubfu Candy, Mysterious Components, and encounters with event-themed Pokémon like a Charcadet featuring a Special Background.
Mark your calendars for the Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day. Gigantamax Machamp makes its debut in six-star Max Battles from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. The event comes packed with several additional bonuses.
You'll only need to walk a quarter of the usual distance to earn Max Particles. Your Max Particle storage capacity increases to 1,600, and all Power Spots will exclusively feature Gigantamax Battles. During this period, you'll also earn 8× Max Particles from these battles and gain two additional Special Trades.
Finally, be sure to collect Max Mushrooms. These items temporarily double the damage output of your Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokémon. Using multiple mushrooms extends the effect duration, though the power boost remains constant.
