BioWare Focuses on Mass Effect, Leaving Veilguard DLC Unlikely
Remastered Dragon Age Collection Remains a Possibility
A Rolling Stone report reveals BioWare's lack of current plans for Dragon Age: The Veilguard DLC. Creative director John Epler stated that DLC development is finished, and the studio is now concentrating its resources on the next Mass Effect title.
While specifics regarding Veilguard DLC are scarce, Epler addressed the prospect of a remastered Dragon Age collection, similar to the Mass Effect Legendary Edition. He acknowledged the significant technical hurdles presented by the older games' proprietary EA engines, stating, "It’s something that’s not going to be as easy as Mass Effect, but we do love the original games. Never say never."
