Bam Margera, the iconic skateboarder and Jackass star, is set to make a thrilling return to the roster of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4. Despite initial reports suggesting otherwise, skateboarding media veteran Roger Bagley revealed during a members-only livestream of The Nine Club skateboarding podcast that Margera will indeed be featured in the upcoming game.
According to Bagley, the game was "already done" when Tony Hawk himself stepped in, insisting on Margera's inclusion. Hawk's determination led him to contact Activision directly, pushing for Margera to be added to the lineup despite being initially told it was not possible. This news has sparked excitement among fans, eager to see Margera back in action.
IGN has reached out to Activision for an official statement on this development.
Margera's journey has been tumultuous, marked by well-documented struggles with alcohol and substance abuse, which led to multiple rehab stints. His challenges also resulted in his dismissal from Jackass Forever and a restraining order issued by Jackass director Jeff Tremaine following alleged threats to Tremaine and his family.
The recent buzz about Margera's return was further fueled by a video he shared with Tony Hawk, showcasing their skateboarding camaraderie and hinting at his potential comeback to the game.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4, announced earlier this month, is slated for release on July 11, 2025. The game will be available on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Developed by Iron Galaxy, the project has overcome significant hurdles, including the near-cancellation following Activision's merger of the previous series developer, Vicarious Visions, with Blizzard.
