The official Bethesda Twitter/X post hinted at the reveal with a striking image featuring a prominent "IV" and a backdrop reminiscent of iconic Oblivion artwork, leaving little doubt about the subject of tomorrow's announcement.
Speculation about an Oblivion remake has been rampant for years, fueled by various leaks. Initially, a 2020 Bethesda release schedule, which surfaced during the FTC vs. Microsoft trial in 2023, suggested a remaster was on the horizon for fiscal year 2022. Though that timeline passed, the project seemed to be back on track when a January leak this year indicated Bethesda, with assistance from Virtuos, was developing a comprehensive remake. Last week's leaks from Virtuos' website further corroborated these rumors, showcasing in-game footage of the revamped Oblivion.
According to the latest leaks, The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remastered is set to launch on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation platforms. Fans can look forward to a Deluxe Edition that includes the infamous horse armor, in addition to the standard version.
Be sure to tune in tomorrow for the official confirmation and to discover more exciting details about this long-awaited remake.
