This January 15th celebration is a special occasion for Call of Duty players, featuring a comprehensive blog detailing upcoming zombie-themed surprises. This marks another addition to the Zombies universe, following Season 1's Citadelle des Morts, arriving in less than two weeks.

These ancient catacombs, dating back to 2500 B.C.E., remained undisturbed until the early 1900s, hinting at mysteries yet to be uncovered.
The Tomb is described as a mysterious area connected to a British archaeologist, Sir Archibald Fotherington-Smythe, though further details remain scarce.
Gameplay-wise, The Tomb offers a similar experience to Liberty Falls—a smaller map with a focus on replayability and hidden Easter eggs. Treyarch also teases a reimagined Wonder Weapon inspired by previous games and the return of an iconic SMG.
Season 2 also promises quality-of-life improvements, including community-requested features. Players can now track up to 10 Calling Card and 10 Camo challenges across Zombies and Multiplayer. Zombies gains a co-op pause option, and players can rejoin matches with their loadouts if disconnected. Separate HUD presets for Zombies and Multiplayer will also be implemented.
