The Sims 4, a game that's constantly evolving, recently reintroduced a classic element from earlier titles: the burglar! Now known as Robin Banks, this mischievous Sim makes nighttime appearances, attempting to pilfer valuable items from unsuspecting households.

While Robin Banks' visits aren't frequent, activating the new "Heist Havoc" Lot Challenge significantly increases the chances of a nighttime break-in. This challenge also amplifies the likelihood of the burglar successfully escaping with their loot, adding an extra layer of challenge.

Catching Robin Banks in The Sims 4

For those quick enough to catch Robin Banks in action, several methods exist. The simplest is calling the police—a welcome return in *The Sims 4*—to apprehend the criminal. Alternatively, brave Sims can engage in fisticuffs with the burglar, though fitter Sims clearly have an advantage.

Several in-game features can also help thwart Robin Banks' thievery:

  • Dogs: Canine companions will chase away the burglar. (Requires: *The Sims 4 Cats & Dogs* Expansion Pack)
  • Werewolves: Their intimidating presence often scares off Robin Banks. (Requires: *The Sims 4 Werewolves* Game Pack)
  • Spellcasters: A variety of spells, from confusion to transformations, can be used to subdue the burglar. (Requires: *The Sims 4 Realm of Magic* Game Pack)
  • Servos: Their defense matrix can effectively immobilize the burglar. (Requires: *The Sims 4 Discover University* Expansion Pack)
  • Scientists: The Freeze Ray provides a quick and effective method of incapacitation. (Requires: *The Sims 4 Get to Work* Expansion Pack)
  • Vampires: A quick snack followed by a command to leave. (Requires: *The Sims 4 Vampires* Game Pack)
