Wolcen Studio has revealed Project Pantheon, a free-to-play combat RPG blending the high-stakes thrill of extraction shooters with the deep combat of classic RPGs. A closed alpha test kicks off January 25th in Europe, expanding to North America on February 1st.
"We've combined the tension and rewarding risk of extraction shooters with the dynamic combat of RPGs," explains game director Andrei Cirkulete. The result? A unique experience drawing inspiration from titles like Diablo and Escape from Tarkov. Player feedback is crucial to shaping the game's development.
As a messenger of Death, players will strive to restore order to a shattered world. Engage in intense battles against AI and other players across diverse maps. Successful evacuations secure hard-earned trophies, while failed attempts mean losing all loot.
Project Pantheon offers extensive customization options. Build your own base, personalize your equipment, and experiment with various playstyles. The game's world draws inspiration from global mythologies, with player trading forming the core of its economy.
The initial adventure takes place in "Destiny's Edge," a region reminiscent of Scandinavian legends. Despite being in early alpha, the developers are committed to active community involvement to refine and improve Project Pantheon.
