Discover Cat Island in Assassin's Creed Shadows: Location Guide

May 07,2025 Author: Simon

In Ubisoft's *Assassin’s Creed Shadows*, players can encounter a variety of creatures during their journey, including charming cats. If you're on the hunt for the cat island in *Assassin’s Creed Shadows*, we've got you covered.

How To Find the Cat Island in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

To reach the cat island, you'll need to head to the Omi region, which you'll access around the midpoint of the game. Ensure your characters are well-prepared for the challenges ahead, and then make your way northeast towards Omi.

Your destination is Lake Biwa, a vast body of water central to the region. It's highly recommended to secure a boat from either the settlements of Azuchi or Omizo to navigate the lake. Alternatively, you can swim, though a boat will make your journey much easier.

Your target is the larger island in the middle of Lake Biwa, just northwest of Azuchi. Upon reaching it, you'll discover Okishima Island, which features a Kakurega for resting. You'll notice plenty of fish drying near the docks, indicating a food source for a particular type of animal.

To immerse yourself in the feline haven on Okishima, head north towards the Leap of Faith. As you ascend, you'll encounter more and more cats. Be sure to pet them to add these delightful creatures to your collection for use in the Hideout, especially the elusive rare kittens, which are hard to find elsewhere.

While Leaps of Faith typically unlock new map locations, the true treasure of Okishima is the company of these cats. After exploring and landing in the haystack, there isn't much else to do except revisit the cats. You'll also return to Okishima later in Yasuke's story, adding another layer of excitement to your adventure.

That's everything you need to know about finding the cat island in *Assassin’s Creed Shadows*. For more guidance on the game, feel free to explore resources available at The Escapist.

*Assassin’s Creed Shadows is available now on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.*
