Mar 28,2025 Author: Aiden

Disney Dreamlight Valley continues to expand its universe with new expansion passes, introducing fresh biomes and captivating storylines for players to explore. Alongside these expansions come a variety of new ingredients and materials, enhancing the game's culinary and crafting possibilities. Cooking plays a crucial role in the game, as it replenishes the energy needed for activities like fishing, mining, and more, preventing your character from becoming too fatigued. With the release of the Storybook Vale DLC, players can now try their hand at new recipes, including the delightful Nutmeg Cake, which we'll guide you through in this article.

How To Make Nutmeg Cake

Nutmeg Cake is a recent addition to Disney Dreamlight Valley, introduced with The Storybook Vale expansion. This recipe is a bit more challenging due to the number of ingredients required, but don't worry—we've got you covered on how to gather everything you need. Keep in mind, you'll need the Storybook Vale DLC to access this recipe, as the ingredients are exclusive to this expansion.

Here are the ingredients you'll need to whip up a Nutmeg Cake:

  • Wheat x1 - Wheat is readily available in Peaceful Meadow and Ancient Landing. You can purchase it from Goofy’s Stall at level 1 for just 3 Star Coins, or grow it yourself. Outside of these biomes, it takes 1 minute to grow, but within Peaceful Meadow or Ancient Landing, it only takes 54 seconds.
  • Shovel Bird Eggs x1 - These eggs are exclusive to the Storybook Vale DLC and can be found at The Blind's Goofy’s Stall. You'll need to upgrade the stall to level 2 to buy them for 160 Star Coins. Currently, this is the only way to obtain Shovel Bird Eggs.
  • Plain Yogurt x1 - Similar to Shovel Bird Eggs, Plain Yogurt is available at Everafter's Goofy’s Stall after upgrading it to level 2. It costs 240 Star Coins and is another ingredient locked to the Storybook Vale DLC.
  • Nutmeg x1 - Nutmeg can be foraged from the Nutmeg Tree in Mythopia. It's free to harvest, and each tree yields 3 Nutmegs. The tree takes 35 minutes to replenish after harvesting.

Once you've gathered all the ingredients, head to a cooking station. Combine all the ingredients in the cooking pot along with a piece of coal to create your Nutmeg Cake. This dessert is categorized as a 5 Star Meal under the Desserts section. It can be sold for 370 Star Coins and restores a whopping 1,891 Energy, making it an excellent choice for energy replenishment despite its modest selling price.

That's all you need to know about crafting the delicious Nutmeg Cake in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Enjoy your culinary adventure!
