Nintendo debuts its San Francisco retail location today, May 15, situated at 331 Powell Street in Union Square. This marks Nintendo's second official U.S. storefront, joining the renowned New York location that previously operated as Nintendo World Store before undergoing renovations in 2016 and reopening as Nintendo NY.
IGN recently toured the San Francisco location to explore Nintendo's retail offerings. During this visit, we secured an exclusive interview with Nintendo of America president Doug Bowser discussing the strategic timing behind establishing the company's first West Coast flagship store.
