Extracting Items in R.E.P.O.: A Guide

Apr 02,2025 Author: Aaron

In the thrilling co-operative horror game *R.E.P.O.*, your mission is clear: retrieve valuable items and survive the onslaught of monsters that spawn randomly across various locations. Successfully escaping with your loot not only grants you a sense of achievement but also rewards you with cash to spend on essential survival gear, all while keeping the menacing AI Taxman at bay.

To secure your earnings, you must locate and reach the Extraction Point, where your C.A.R.T. of treasures is assessed, and the Taxman determines your next move. With each successful extraction, you'll find yourself better equipped to handle the challenges ahead, turning what initially feels like a daunting task into a manageable routine as you progress through levels and confront more formidable monsters.

How to Extract in R.E.P.O.

In your initial foray into *R.E.P.O.*, you'll encounter a single Extraction Point. As you advance to new locations, the number of Extraction Points can increase, with a maximum of four. You can monitor your progress by checking the red number in the right-hand corner of your screen, which indicates both the total number of drop-offs required and those already completed.

At the start of each level, the first Extraction Point is conveniently located near your R.E.P.O. truck, providing a consistent starting point for your first haul. Subsequent Extraction Points, however, require more strategic navigation. After your initial drop-off, you'll need to explore the level without knowing the Taxman's demands or the location of the next point. This is where your in-game map, accessible by pressing "Tab" on your keyboard, becomes invaluable. It helps you plan your routes and, if playing with others, allows your team to cover more ground simultaneously.

The next Extraction Point's location becomes clear only when you reach its vicinity, either by sight or sound. Once found, press the big red button to learn your fate and whether you've collected enough items. If you have, place your C.A.R.T. within the designated grey area to ensure all items are safely accounted for; otherwise, they risk being destroyed.

After completing the required number of extractions, you'll either move on to the next point or attempt to return to the truck unscathed. Remember, after the final Extraction Point, you don't need to bring the C.A.R.T. back to the truck; a new one will be available at the next location or level.

Now that you're well-versed in the art of extraction in *R.E.P.O.*, be sure to explore our other guides for more tips and strategies to enhance your gameplay experience.
