Amazon Prime Video has exciting news for fans of the post-apocalyptic series, Fallout, announcing a December 2025 release window for Season 2. The streamer also confirmed during its annual upfront presentation in New York City that the show has been renewed for a third season, set to follow the upcoming batch of episodes this winter. This early renewal showcases the confidence the Fallout team has in Season 2, which wrapped filming just last week.

“The holidays came a little early this year - we are thrilled to be ending the world all over again for a third season of Fallout,” stated Executive Producers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy in a joint statement. “On behalf of our brilliant cast and crew, our showrunners Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner, and our partners at Bethesda, we’re grateful to our incredible collaborators at Amazon MGM Studios and to the amazing fans as we continue our adventures in the wasteland together.”
The announcement that Fallout Season 2 is slated for a 2025 release may come as a surprise to some, considering that filming only recently concluded and was temporarily halted earlier this year due to LA fires. Many had anticipated that the next season wouldn't be ready until early 2026. However, Amazon's commitment to a December 2025 release indicates that the Prime Video show is advancing rapidly.
