FIFA Is Teaming Up With Konami's eFootball For FIFAe World Cup 2024!

Konami and FIFA's unexpected esports collaboration: the FIFAe Virtual World Cup 2024! After years of competition between FIFA and PES, this partnership is a surprising twist. The tournament will utilize Konami's eFootball platform.

In-Game Qualifiers on eFootball Are Live!

The FIFAe Virtual World Cup 2024 will feature Console (PS4 and PS5) and Mobile divisions. Eighteen countries are vying for the final spots: Brazil, Japan, Argentina, Portugal, Spain, England, France, Costa Rica, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Morocco, Netherlands, Poland, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Thailand, and Turkey.

Three-stage in-game qualifiers run from October 10th to 20th. National Nomination Phases for the 18 countries follow from October 28th to November 3rd.

The offline final round will conclude in late 2024 (exact date TBA). Even if your country isn't among the 18, you can still participate in qualifiers up to Round 3, earning rewards like 50 eFootball coins, 30,000 XP, and other bonuses.

This collaboration is especially noteworthy given the long-standing rivalry. EA and FIFA ended their decade-long partnership in 2022 due to a disagreement over licensing fees (FIFA reportedly sought $1 billion every four years, a significant increase from the previous $150 million). This led to the release of EA Sports FC 24 without the FIFA branding.
