"Fragrant Story & Papaya’s Path: Today's Releases and Sales Roundup"

May 03,2025 Author: Aurora

Hello, dear readers, and welcome to the SwitchArcade Round-Up for August 26th, 2024. Today's edition is a bit lighter than usual as I'm juggling other projects, so we won't have any reviews. Instead, we'll dive into a few new releases and the latest sales updates. One of the new releases is particularly noteworthy, and the sales lists are quite promising. I'll have some reviews ready for you tomorrow, fingers crossed. Let's get started and see what's on offer!

Select New Releases

Fragrant Story and Papaya’s Path ($7.99)

Fragrant Story has a fascinating history as one of the final Nintendo 3DS releases. There's been a lot of confusion about this game, so let me clarify things. Originally launched as a tactical role-playing game with a star-studded cast, early buyers were surprised by its brief 20-minute playtime. The truth is, the developer rushed an incomplete version to meet Nintendo's deadline for 3DS releases. Fortunately, subsequent updates transformed it into the substantial 10+ hour experience it was meant to be. So, don't let rumors of its shortness deter you—this updated version is a solid choice for tactical RPG fans at just eight bucks.

Quack Jump ($3.99)

Quack Jump is a straightforward yet enjoyable platformer that keeps things interesting with new mechanics introduced across its 40 levels. At just four dollars, it's a fun little diversion.

Underground Station ($7.90)

Underground Station is an idle game where you work in a dungeon to pay off debts. It may not be visually impressive, but it's a welcome respite from the flood of AI-generated content we've seen lately.

Sales

(North American eShop, US Prices)

Let's kick things off with the latest sales. Limited Run Games is back with another sale, perfect for snagging any quirky titles you might have missed. TROOOZE is also offering discounts on several of their games, though I've highlighted just a few. Team 17 has some enticing deals as well. On the flip side, the rare sale on the Front Mission remakes is about to end, so grab them while you can—they don't go on sale often.
