To celebrate the launch of the "Nyras Prologue" demo for the Gothic 1 Remake, THQ Nordic and Alkimia Interactive have unveiled an exciting new trailer. In a departure from the original Gothic, where players embodied the Nameless Hero, the remake allows you to step into the shoes of Nyras, a prisoner navigating the game's unforgiving world. Despite the change in protagonist, Nyras's primary objective remains the same: survival.
The demo for the Gothic Remake was strategically released during the Steam Next Fest event, swiftly breaking records for concurrent player counts among all Gothic titles:

The showcased section of the remake boasts enhanced graphics, refined animations, and a combat system powered by Unreal Engine 5. While the prologue offers a glimpse into these improvements, it doesn't fully capture the expansive freedom of action and deep RPG mechanics that await in the complete game.
Gothic Remake is set to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC platforms, including Steam and GOG. Although an official release date has yet to be disclosed, anticipation continues to build among fans eager to explore this reimagined classic.
