Given its popularity for NetEase, it's no surprise that Once Human is expanding. The survival PvE shooter is receiving its largest update yet with version 2.0, introducing a brand-new mode designed to challenge even the most experienced players.
The update's major feature is the Endless Dream mode. This PvE scenario drops you into a fresh, more surreal version of the Once Human world. The entire map is immediately accessible, with familiar areas now split into Dream Zones and Nightmare territories, each presenting unique challenges.
This means navigating new environmental dangers, managing the Confusion mechanic, and facing enemies like Light Dreamers, Deep Dreamers, and Eternal Dreamers. You can reshape the landscape and build freely anywhere, with progression that adapts and multiple endings based on your success in cleansing the nightmares.
When Dreams Become Nightmares
Even if you prefer the core Once Human experience and only plan to sample Endless Dream, there are still good reasons to try it. You can join the Annual Version 2.0 events, complete tasks for rewards like Lightforge Ingots, and earn extra items through the Dreamland Wonder mini-games and other activities.
Finally, for those eagerly awaiting the more Rust-inspired Once Human: RaidZone, the spin-off now has an official release date of July 30th!
