Hotta Studios' upcoming 3D open-world RPG, Neverness to Everness, is gearing up for its first closed beta test. Unfortunately, participation is limited to mainland China. However, eager fans worldwide can still follow the game's progress as it approaches release.
Gematsu recently highlighted some newly revealed lore, adding depth to the already intriguing world. If you've seen the trailers showcasing the city of Eibon (see below), the new additions likely won't come as a complete surprise. The expanded lore delves deeper into the game's comedic undertones and the unique blend of the bizarre and everyday life in Hetherau.
Hotta Studios, a subsidiary of Perfect World (creators of the successful Tower of Fantasy), is venturing into a familiar yet distinct 3D RPG landscape. Neverness to Everness embraces the increasingly popular urban setting, but boasts unique features to set it apart.

One standout feature is open-world driving! Players can experience the thrill of high-speed city chases, but with a crucial caveat: realistic damage from crashes. Players can purchase and customize a range of vehicles to satisfy their need for speed.
Upon release, Neverness to Everness will face strong competition from titles like MiHoYo's Zenless Zone Zero and NetEase's Ananta (formerly Project Mugen), both of which occupy similar niches in the mobile 3D open-world RPG market.
