Square Enix marked NieR's 15th anniversary with a series of announcements that span various projects and events. The highlight of the April 19 livestream was the introduction of NieR's online Special Novel, titled [U]ndecided Option. This novel will be released in three parts, with the first part already accessible, and the subsequent updates scheduled for April 25 and May 2. The story teases a mysterious narrative about a 'servant' encountering a boy with an enigmatic aura.
To centralize all the anniversary festivities, Square Enix also launched a dedicated 15th Anniversary website, serving as the hub for the online novel and other related projects.
Square Enix is set to host an exhibition at Sunshine City in Ikebukuro, Japan, showcasing new artwork featuring the protagonists from Replicant, Automata, and Re[in]carnation. Stay tuned for upcoming announcements regarding tickets and additional details.
Music lovers can look forward to the NieR: Orchestra Concert 12024, with new dates announced for performances in Osaka on July 25 and 26, and in Tokyo on August 2 and 3. Tickets are currently available through a lottery system, and more information can be found on the concert's official website.

Starting April 28, NieR Re[in]carnation, the first mobile title in the NieR series, will kick off a monthly developer blog. These updates, planned through the end of the year, will offer insights into the development process of Re[in]carnation.
Originally launched in January 2021, Re[in]carnation was unfortunately shut down in April 2024 due to monetization challenges. The announcement of a developer blog for a discontinued game has sparked speculation among fans about potential sequels or remakes, although no official word has been released on this front.
