Pokemon GO Unveils Tour Pass for Unova Event

Summary

  • A new Tour Pass for Pokemon GO's Unova event will be available from February 24 to March 9, offering rewards and milestones.
  • Players can level up the Tour Pass by earning Tour Points through tasks like catching Pokemon and completing raids.
  • A free and deluxe version of the Tour Pass will be available.

Pokemon GO has announced an exciting new Tour Pass for the upcoming Unova-themed event, set to launch on February 24. This pass is part of the Pokemon GO Tour, an annual celebration that coincides with Pokemon Day and focuses on a different region each year. This year's event spotlights the Unova region, bringing with it Gen 5-themed wild encounters, raids, and egg spawns.

The inaugural Pokemon GO Tour in 2021 celebrated the Kanto region and introduced nine new shiny Pokemon, including Mew and Ditto. Last year's tour honored Sinnoh, featuring special Pikachu variants and the Origin Formes of Dialga and Palkia.

As we look forward to the Pokemon GO Tour 2025, Niantic has introduced a new Tour Pass available from February 24 at 10 am until March 2 at 6 pm local time. Every player can obtain a free pass and advance through its levels by earning Tour Points. These points are gained by completing daily tasks, catching Pokemon, participating in raids, and hatching eggs. As trainers progress, they'll reach Minor and Major milestones, earning rewards such as candy and stickers. The ultimate milestone offers an encounter with a Zorua featuring a special background. Remember, all rewards must be claimed before they expire on March 9 at 6 pm.

Pokemon GO Announces New Pass in Anticipation of Unova's GO Tour

In addition to the free pass, a deluxe version will be available for $14.99 on the Pokemon GO Webstore from February 24 at 10 am until March 2 at 6 pm. The deluxe pass includes all rewards from both the free and paid tracks, an encounter with the Mythical Pokemon Victini, and the new Lucky Trinket item. This single-use item can transform a friend from your list into a Lucky Friend, ensuring the next trade results in a Lucky Pokemon, and resets the Lucky Friend status afterward. A deluxe pass variant with 10 unlocked ranks will be available for $19.99. All rewards and the Lucky Trinket from both versions of the deluxe pass are valid until March 9 at 6 pm.

The Tour Pass for Unova's GO Tour is designed to heighten the anticipation for what promises to be a thrilling event. Highlights include the debut of Kyurem Black and White through fusion, reminiscent of last year's Necrozma event, and the introduction of shiny Meloetta via ticketed Masterwork Research.
