Dive into the competitive world of Pokémon Unite, a mobile and Nintendo Switch game boasting a thrilling online ranking system. Players engage in solo and team battles, showcasing their Pokémon mastery and climbing the ranks. This guide breaks down the Pokémon Unite rank system, explaining each rank and how to progress.

Pokémon Unite features six ranks, each divided into multiple classes for granular progression. Higher ranks have more classes than lower ones. Crucially, rank points are earned *only* in ranked matches, not quick or standard matches.
Pokémon Unite Ranks Explained
Here's a breakdown of the ranks:
- Beginner Rank (3 Classes)
- Great Rank (4 Classes)
- Expert Rank (5 Classes)
- Veteran Rank (5 Classes)
- Ultra Rank (5 Classes)
- Master Rank
Getting Started
To begin your ranked journey, you'll need to reach Trainer Level 6, achieve a Fair Play score of 80, and own five Pokémon licenses. Once you meet these requirements, you can jump into ranked matches and start at Beginner Rank.
Performance Points and Diamond Points
Performance Points (PP) are earned in each ranked match. The amount varies based on individual performance (5-15 PP), sportsmanship (10 PP), participation (10 PP), and winning streaks (10-50 PP). Each rank has a PP cap. Once you reach the cap, you earn one Diamond Point (DP) per match, crucial for rank advancement.
Here are the PP caps per rank:
- Beginner Rank: 80 Points
- Great Rank: 120 Points
- Expert Rank: 200 Points
- Veteran Rank: 300 Points
- Ultra Rank: 400 Points
- Master Rank: N/A
Rank Advancement and Rewards
Diamond Points are the key to climbing. Four Diamond Points upgrade your class within a rank. Reaching the maximum class in a rank propels you to the next rank's first class. You gain one DP per ranked match win and lose one per loss. Players with maxed PP also earn one DP per match.
At the end of each season, you receive Aeos Tickets based on your rank (higher ranks yield more). These tickets are used in the Aeos Emporium. Certain ranks also offer unique seasonal rewards.
So, sharpen your Pokémon skills, strategize your battles, and climb the ranks to achieve Pokémon Unite dominance and claim the best rewards!
