IO Interactive has officially announced that their upcoming James Bond game, known as Project 007, will be making its way to the Nintendo Switch 2. This thrilling news comes directly from IO Interactive's website, where they revealed that the game will delve into an entirely new narrative within the iconic Bond universe.

In Project 007, players will have the unique opportunity to step into the shoes of the world's most celebrated Secret Agent and embark on a journey to earn their 00 status. This game promises to be the very first James Bond origin story, offering fans a fresh take on the legendary character.

Hakan Abrak, the head of IO Interactive, shared insights with IGN back in October about crafting this brand new origin story for the beloved spy. "What's exciting about that project is that we actually got to do an original story. So it's not a gamification of a movie," he explained. Abrak emphasized the significance of creating an entirely new tale, stating, "It's completely beginning and becoming a story, hopefully for a big trilogy out there in the future. And equally important and exciting, it's a new Bond. It's a Bond we built from the ground up for gamers. It's extremely exciting with all the tradition and all the history there is there together to work on this together with the family of creating a young Bond for gamers; a Bond that the gamers can call their own and grow with."
