Eagle-eyed PlayStation fans believe Sony may have inadvertently revealed the PS5 Pro during its 30th-anniversary celebrations.
A Subtle Hint on Sony's Website?
A recently published PlayStation blog post featured an image containing a console design remarkably similar to leaked PS5 Pro renders. This detail, spotted by a keen observer in the background of the anniversary logo on Sony's official website, has ignited speculation about an imminent PS5 Pro launch. While no official State of Play event has been announced, rumors suggest a reveal could coincide with a larger event later this month.
Meanwhile, Sony is celebrating its 30th anniversary with various promotions. Gamers can enjoy a free Gran Turismo 7 trial, digital soundtracks from classic PlayStation games, and a new "Shapes of Play" collection launching in December 2024 via direct.playstation.com (US, UK, France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Italy, and Benelux). A free online multiplayer weekend and esports tournaments are also planned for September 21st and 22nd, offering online multiplayer access without a PlayStation Plus subscription on PS5 and PS4. Further details are expected soon.
