Resident Evil 4 has not only surpassed sales expectations but has also become the fastest-selling game in the Resident Evil series, as noted by Alex Aniel, author of the fan book "Itchy, Tasty: An Unofficial History of Resident Evil." For context, Resident Evil Village had only reached 500,000 copies sold by its eighth quarter.
Given the remarkable success of Resident Evil 4, fans are eagerly anticipating Capcom's next projects. There is a strong desire among the community for a Resident Evil 5 remake, especially since the remakes of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 were released just over a year apart.
