"Shining Revelry Expansion Coming Soon to Pokemon TCG Pocket"

May 02,2025 Author: Eleanor

My interest in Pokemon TCG Pocket tends to ebb and flow. I get deeply engaged whenever a new set is released, and I keep playing as long as there are Emblems to earn for achieving around 40 wins. After that, my routine shifts to logging in daily, opening my packs, doing a Wonder Pick just for fun, and then moving on until the next day. This cycle is set to start all over again with the arrival of the latest expansion, Shining Revelry, on March 27th.

This expansion will introduce 110 new cards to TCG Pocket, featuring a mix of new Ex Pokemon, Trainer cards, and those stunning art cards we've all grown to love. The most thrilling aspect, as hinted by the expansion's name, is the inclusion of Shiny Pokemon! For those new to the concept, these are differently colored versions of your favorite Pokemon. For instance, Lucario appears in a striking yellow instead of its usual blue, while Pachirisu flaunts a charming pink stripe.

The trailer, which you can view below, offers just a glimpse of what's to come, but let's dive into the details. A new Shiny Charizard Ex will join the fray with 180 HP and an attack called Steam Artillery, dealing a hefty 150 damage. The downside? It requires a whopping five energy. However, its other move, Stoke, lets you attach three Fire Energy cards at once, which could be a game-changer.

Another exciting addition is Lucario Ex. Having played a more supportive role in the Space-Time Smackdown expansion, this version of the Aura Pokemon is now ready to take center stage in battles. With 150 HP, it may not be the most durable, but its Aura Sphere attack packs a punch, dealing 100 damage for three Fighting Energy and also hitting one of your opponent's Benched Pokemon for 30.

The trailer also teases other cards that might not be game-changers but are still noteworthy. Shiny Wiglett, Pachirisu, and Varoom are all making their way to the game, each with their unique charm. Additionally, there's a stunning Tatsugiri art rare that I'm eager to add to my digital collection.

Pokemon TCG Pocket is available for free on the App Store and Google Play, with in-app purchases available. If you're interested, you can download it for your preferred platform using the buttons below.
