Nintendo recently launched its mobile app, Nintendo Today, designed to deliver the latest news and game updates directly to players. Sharp-eyed fans noticed that the app’s listings on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store include images highlighting its features, with one stating, "Stay updated on Nintendo Switch 2 news, plus access game info, videos, comics, and more daily."
A closer look at the image reveals the Nintendo Switch 2’s final design, showcasing its redesigned Joycons and confirming the presence of a mysterious C button on the right Joycon.
In the initial Switch 2 teaser from January, the button below the Home button appeared as a plain black square, sparking speculation about its purpose—perhaps a new social feature or sensor. The Nintendo Today app’s image now confirms it as the C button. Its full functionality is expected to be unveiled during the Nintendo Direct.
