Team Go Rocket Returns for Fashion Week and Ho-Oh's Shadow Raid Day in Pokémon Go

Get ready for an exciting Pokémon GO event during Fashion Week: Taken Over, running from January 15th to January 19th. This event is your chance to battle Team Go Rocket and rescue Shadow Palkia from their clutches. You'll encounter Giovanni and have the opportunity to save this powerful Pokémon. Additionally, on January 19th, you can participate in the Shadow Raid Day to catch Shadow Ho-Oh, making it a thrilling week for all trainers.

During Fashion Week, Pokémon GO introduces two new Pokémon: Shroodle and its evolution, Grafaiai. You can hatch Shroodle from 12 km Eggs, adding a fresh challenge to your gameplay. Expect to see Team Go Rocket more frequently at PokéStops and in balloons, providing ample opportunities to use a Charged TM to help your Shadow Pokémon forget the Frustration move.

The event brings back Shadow Pokémon with new additions like Shadow Taillow, Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, Trubbish, and Bunnelby. Keep an eye out for Shiny versions of these rescues. You can battle these Shadow Pokémon in various Shadow Raids, and for the first time, you can use Remote Raid Passes to join these raids from anywhere.

A special research task will lead you to a Super Rocket Radar, setting the stage for a showdown with Giovanni to rescue Shadow Palkia. The event also includes Field Research tasks that reward you with Mysterious Components, Charged TMs, and Fast TMs. Completing the special Collection Challenge will earn you Stardust and an encounter with Trubbish.
