After months of speculation and anticipation, Activision has finally dropped the debut trailer for the highly awaited remake of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4. The development is now in the capable hands of Iron Galaxy, stepping in after Vicarious Visions, who brought us the acclaimed THPS 1+2. Fans can look forward to enhanced graphics, the introduction of online multiplayer, and the addition of exciting new playable characters such as Rayssa Leal, Nyjah Huston, and Yuto Horigome. The trailer gives us a thrilling glimpse of iconic locations like Airport, Tokyo, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, all revamped with cutting-edge technology. A side-by-side comparison within the trailer highlights the dramatic graphical improvements from the original to the new version.
The game will feature legendary skaters like Tony Hawk, Bucky Lasek, and Rodney Mullen, though it appears Bam Margera will not be making a return. Exclusive to the Digital Deluxe edition, players will have the unique opportunity to skate as Doom Slayer and Revenant. Adding to the nostalgic feel, the developers have promised to include beloved tracks from the original soundtrack, featuring bands like Motorhead, Gang Starr, and CKY.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 will launch on July 11 across multiple platforms, including Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4/5, Xbox Series, and PC. Pre-order enthusiasts will be treated to a demo in June and can enjoy early access to the full game three days before its official release, ensuring they hit the ground rolling.
