Shift Up, the developer behind Stellar Blade, hints at a potential PC port. While the game launched as a PS5 exclusive due to its Sony partnership, recent statements suggest a PC version is under consideration.
Stellar Blade's success, including a top US sales spot in its launch month and an 82 average OpenCritic score, has fueled this interest. During an IPO press conference, CEO Kim Hyung-Tae stated that a PC port is being "considered," though contractual obligations with Sony prevent a firm timeline. CFO Jae-woo Ahn further emphasized the growing PC market share for AAA titles, suggesting a PC release could significantly boost the IP's value.
A previous financial report already indicated Shift Up was exploring both a sequel and a PC port. With Sony's growing trend of bringing exclusives to PC (as evidenced by the upcoming God of War: Ragnarok PC release), a Stellar Blade PC port seems increasingly likely.
While the decision remains pending, Shift Up is currently focused on optimizing the PS5 version. Recent updates unfortunately introduced some graphical glitches, but the developer has confirmed they are working on a fix.
