Poncle, the UK-based developer behind the hit roguelike, Vampire Survivors, has offered a progress update on the game's upcoming PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 releases. Both the game's latest expansion and a recent update launched in May.
Initially released in December 2021, Vampire Survivors is a top-down shooter where players face endless waves of enemies. Following its successful launch and Nintendo Switch port, April saw the announcement of PS4 and PS5 versions, slated for a Summer 2024 release. With summer underway in the UK, Poncle has provided an update.
While a precise release date remains unannounced, Poncle assures players it will be shared as soon as possible via Twitter. The development team explains that the PlayStation port process is taking longer than anticipated due to their unfamiliarity with Sony's submission procedures. They're also meticulously crafting the PlayStation Trophies to ensure a satisfying achievement system, mirroring the over 200 achievements available on the popular Steam version.
