Radical Fish Games Unveils Alabaster Dawn: A New Action RPG

Gamescom 2024 Presence Confirmed

The creators of the critically acclaimed CrossCode have officially lifted the veil on their next title: Alabaster Dawn. Formerly known as "Project Terra," the game's reveal was shared on the developer's website. Alabaster Dawn is poised for a Steam Early Access launch in late 2025. While a precise date remains unannounced, you can wishlist the game on Steam now.

A public demo is also planned for release at a later date. Early Access is still targeted for late 2025.

For Gamescom attendees, Radical Fish Games will be on-site, offering limited hands-on Alabaster Dawn gameplay opportunities. While play sessions are limited, the team will be available for discussions from Wednesday to Friday.

Alabaster Dawn's Combat: DMC and KH Inspired

Crosscode Devs' New Game Alabaster Dawn unfolds in the ravaged world of Tiran Sol, devastated by the goddess Nyx. Nyx's actions have reduced the world to a wasteland, causing the disappearance of other deities and humanity. You play as Juno, the Outcast Chosen, tasked with reviving humanity and breaking Nyx's curse.

Expect an immersive experience spanning 30-60 hours of gameplay across seven diverse regions. Gameplay will involve rebuilding settlements, establishing trade networks, and engaging in dynamic combat inspired by Devil May Cry, Kingdom Hearts, and the studio's own CrossCode. Eight unique weapons, each with its own skill tree, await your mastery. Further gameplay elements include parkour, puzzles, enchantment systems, and even cooking!

The studio shared a significant development milestone: the first 1-2 hours of gameplay are nearing completion. While seemingly modest, the developers emphasize this as a major achievement in the development process.
