Two exciting Pokémon from the Galar region are making their debut in Pokémon Go this month, bringing a mix of sweetness and ferocity to the game. From April 24th to 29th, the Sweet Discoveries event introduces the adorable Dragon/Grass-type Applin. To evolve Applin, you'll need 200 Applin Candy and 20 apples. Using Tart Apples will evolve Applin into Flapple, while Sweet Apples will lead to Appletun. You can find these apples in the wild, particularly around Mossy Lures, which might also trigger Applin encounters.
During the Sweet Discoveries event, you'll encounter wild spawns like Bounsweet, Skwovet, and Delibird. Field Research and Eggs will offer more opportunities to catch themed Pokémon such as Munchlax and Cherubi. Additionally, Timed Research tasks will reward you with Sweet and Tart Apples, with both free and paid options available. The paid version offers extra Mossy Lure Modules and more chances to encounter Applin.
Don't miss out on the Applin Headband and Apron available in the shop, and keep an eye on PokéStop Showcases for themed Pokémon. For those craving a more intense challenge, mark your calendar for the Max Battle Weekend on April 26th–27th, where Dynamax Entei makes its fiery entrance. Keep your fingers crossed for a Shiny encounter!

Event bonuses include an increased Max Particle cap, reduced distance needed to collect them, and faster Power Spot refresh rates. You'll also earn eight times more Max Particles from each Power Spot visited. Leading up to the Max Battle Weekend, a free Timed Research starts on April 21st, rewarding you with a Dynamax Sobble to help counter Entei's fiery attacks.
