The official Bethesda Twitter account teased the event today, featuring a prominent "IV" and a background reminiscent of iconic Oblivion artwork, hinting strongly at what's to come.
Rumors of an Oblivion remake have circulated for years, gaining momentum with recent leaks. The first hint came from a 2020 Bethesda release schedule leak during the FTC vs. Microsoft trial in 2023, which mentioned an Oblivion remaster planned for fiscal year 2022. Although the document's age and missed release window suggested the project might have been canceled, a January leak this year indicated a full-scale remake in development by Bethesda with assistance from Virtuos. The rumors were further solidified last week when leaks from Virtuos' website showcased the remake in progress.
If these recent leaks hold true, The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remastered will be available on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation, with a Deluxe Edition that includes the iconic horse armor alongside the standard version.
Be sure to tune in tomorrow for what is expected to be the official confirmation and more detailed information about this highly anticipated remaster.
