Freedom Wars Remastered: Weapon Guide

In *Freedom Wars Remastered*, you're equipped to face any challenge with the freedom to choose two weapons from six distinct types before embarking on an Operation. This allows for diverse character builds tailored to your preferred playstyle. Mix and match to your heart's content!

Three melee and three ranged weapon types offer unique charging mechanics. Each weapon is fully customizable, adding another layer of strategic depth.

Every Weapon Type in *Freedom Wars Remastered*

Six weapon types await, unlockable through Operations or Zakka's shop in The Warren. While you can't equip your Comrades, your Accessory's weapon is entirely under your control. Change weapons freely—there's no penalty for frequent switching.

Weapon Type Traits
Light Melee Quick attacks ideal for swift combat against single targets. Can sever Abductor limbs without a Flare Knife.
Heavy Melee Wide-sweeping attacks delivering high damage. Well-placed attacks hit multiple Abductor limbs for multiplied damage. Charged attacks launch you into the air. Slightly slows movement speed.
Polearm Attacks often involve charging through enemies, providing mobility and evasion. Charged attacks throw the polearm for massive damage from a safe distance.
Assault Weapons High ammo capacity, perfect as a primary weapon for gun-focused builds. Can be fired while grappled with your Thorne for tactical advantages.
Portable Artillery High single-shot damage but low ammo capacity. Explosive area-of-effect shots hit multiple limbs for increased damage. Slows movement speed.
Autocannons High rate of fire with large ammo capacity and magazine size. Individual shots have lower damage, but the high rate of fire compensates. Slows movement speed.

Your Accessory enjoys unlimited ammo for gun weapons, unlike your player character.
