The Nintendo Switch 2 will have regional pricing variations between Japan and international markets. Here's a detailed breakdown of the pricing structure for different versions.
Japanese Switch 2 Priced Lower Than Global Model
Dual-Language System Versions Confirmed for Switch 2

The Nintendo Switch 2 will launch with two distinct SKUs: a Japan-exclusive Japanese-language model and a multilingual international version. The domestic Japanese model will retail for approximately $330, while the global version carries a $449.99 price tag - a difference exceeding $100. This significant price gap reflects the current weak yen-to-dollar exchange rate that discourages international buyers from purchasing electronics in Japan.
Japanese residents can still opt for the multilingual version if preferred. However, the Japan-specific model will feature several regional restrictions, including Japanese-only language support, mandatory Nintendo Accounts set to Japan, and exclusive access to the Japanese eShop's software library.
Nintendo advises customers who need multi-language functionality to purchase the global version. Full specifications for the international model will be announced on April 4.

Nationwide retailers and online platforms will begin accepting reservations or lottery entries on April 24, subject to stock availability. The My Nintendo Store lottery registration has two key eligibility requirements:

Complete application guidelines will be published on the My Nintendo Store portal on April 4.
