Leaked: Early Battlefield 6 Footage Surfaces Online

May 22,2025 Author: Andrew

Exciting news for Battlefield fans—Early gameplay footage of EA's upcoming Battlefield game has surfaced online after a closed playtesting session. According to TheGamer, Twitch user anto_merguezz inadvertently shared footage from EA's exclusive Battlefield Labs playtest. Although the clips are no longer available on anto_merguezz's Twitch page, resourceful fans captured and shared the footage across the internet, with Reddit being a primary hub for its circulation.

The leaked footage seems to validate the "modern" setting hinted at by Vince Zampella, setting this game apart from its historical or futuristic predecessors. Viewers get a glimpse of intense firefights and the iconic destructible environments that the series is known for. The community's positive reaction to the footage is a promising sign, especially after the lukewarm reception to Battlefield 2042's launch.

Following last month's initial reveal, we've learned that the next Battlefield installment will feature the much-anticipated return of a traditional, single-player, linear campaign, a feature that was sorely missed in the multiplayer-focused Battlefield 2042.

EA has slated the game for a fiscal 2026 release, which means we can expect it to hit the shelves between April 2025 and March 2026. With the leaks already out, it's likely that EA will soon provide more official details as they prepare for the launch. Fans are eagerly awaiting further announcements, hoping that EA can maintain the excitement surrounding Battlefield 6 (or whatever its final title will be).

IGN has reached out to EA for an official statement regarding the leaked footage.
