Riot Games' MMO: Far from Finished

Riot Games made a notable appearance at this year's DICE Summit, where company co-founder Marc Merrill shared exciting insights with Stephen Totilo. One of Merrill's primary ambitions is to bring an expansive MMO to life within the beloved universe of League of Legends and Arcane. This project has become a central focus for him, driven by his passion for the genre and a belief that his dedication will contribute significantly to the game's success. Additionally, the strong desire among League of Legends fans to dive deeper into their favorite universe fuels this ambitious endeavor.

While Merrill was tight-lipped about specifics regarding the MMO, such as a release date, he humorously expressed hope that it would be ready before the first human sets foot on Mars. This light-hearted comment leaves the timeline open-ended but underscores the project's long-term vision.

In addition to the MMO, Riot Games is also developing another title within the League of Legends universe: 2XKO, a highly anticipated fighting game. Unlike the MMO, 2XKO has already provided fans with trailers and a confirmed release window, set to launch before the year's end, much to the excitement of the gaming community.
