Application Description

This simple non-field RPG challenges you to escape a cursed forest. -Prologue- You're the village's best hunter, drawn to a national hunting tournament near the royal capital. Excited, you venture into the forest, but upon waking after your first night, you find your camp deserted; fellow hunters vanished. National guards oversee the tournament, yet no one is in sight. Cautiously exploring, you realize you're lost, repeatedly finding yourself back in the same spot despite your best efforts at navigation. This unsettling situation prompts your desperate attempt to escape.

-What is the "Elven Curse"?- This non-field RPG casts you as a hunter, aided by a quarter-elf, striving to escape the cursed forest. Gameplay is exceptionally streamlined, employing a maximum of three buttons at any given time (excluding the main menu).

-Character Creation- While character customization is limited, you can freely reroll your stats. Status increase rates upon leveling up are only visible on this screen; this information isn't available in-game. It serves as a return point. When your "talismans" fall below two, or your life force reaches zero, it's game over.

-Foria, the Peddler Quarter-Elf- A young (?), self-proclaimed quarter-elf encountered in the forest. Despite his childlike appearance, he claims seniority over you and, while seemingly uninvolved, secretly assists your escape using the forest's ancient spirits.

-Scenario and Presentation- The prologue unfolds smoothly, resembling a picture story. Foria's dialogue is cheerful, contrasting with the game's subdued, suggestive world-building.

-Exploration Mode- Progress involves exploring unexplored areas to unlock new paths. Exploration success is determined by "fog depth," influenced by your character's stats. When your life force is depleted, utilize poison or rare "talismans," potentially requiring a return to Foria.

-Beast Encounters & Hunter Battles- The forest teems with hostile creatures, from wolves and dogs to surprisingly aggressive frogs and rabbits. Defeating them yields hides for trading with Foria. Unlike typical RPGs, combat doesn't grant experience points; the goal remains escape. All battles are avoidable (requiring either luck or skillful play). As a hunter, you use a bow and arrow, maintaining distance to attack safely. Closing the distance invites a one-sided assault. You can either strategically withdraw or use a "flash" ball provided by Foria for a guaranteed escape.

-Cloak & Layering System- Craft cloaks using gathered branches, resin, and leather, enhancing your abilities. Up to three layers can be worn, cumulatively boosting stats. Cloaks may also restore vitality but can tear and become unusable. This is the only equipment change mechanic.

-Game Features- This game prioritizes enjoyable, strategic gameplay with elements of chance and skill. It emphasizes resource management, crafting, and thoughtful preparation before progressing.

-Autosave- The game features an autosave system, but its timing is not comprehensive (e.g., not during battles). To ensure progress is saved, it's recommended to close the app from the base menu.

-Version History- v1.2 (Dec 18, 2024): Fixed a bug causing unexpected transitions to the character creation mode. v1.1: Corrected typos in scenario text. v1.0: Minor bug fixes, message adjustments, and credit additions. v0.1: Test release.
